New posting schedule ...

... or abandonment of the old one for a while, at least.

Real life, and work, is incredibly busy at the moment and my writing time is limited, so this month is going to be a bit hit and miss, as far as posting is concerned - especially as I'm away for Christmas and there's no internet where I'm going.

Though I will write, when I can, and post, when I have something worth posting, I don't think I can run to 2 updates a week (at least not every week) ... so it's probably going to be just the once.

Originally I believed this story would be over by now (I need to write longer chapters) - but I think there's at least another 20,000 words (bear in mid my estimation skills are rubbish - this story is already twice the length it was meant to be) .... and, for some reason, I already have plans for a sequel. I say sequel because it would be too easy to just carry on writing 'Desperate Times' for as long as it has an audience, and that would mean ignoring some of the other stories I've been tinkering with. So yeah, once I've finished this arc I'll be taking a break from the story for a while. (Well, for as long as I can force myself to stay away from it - erm .. at least a month).

THERE WILL BE A CHAPTER POSTED THIS WEEK - but it may be the weekend before it happens.

Hey there, I know how busy the Christmas period can be so no worries. Although I will miss reading 'Desperate Times' so frequently. Maybe your flist has been spoilt. And I can totally understand your cue to sequel this fiction. xx

Fine be that way. No really I understand how insane it is this time of year. I'm really going to miss the updates though. You've spoiled me.

In my humble opinion, this is so well crafted, it feels as though we are already reading a sequel to an original story -- the story just really flows and feels like several stories within the main story .... it's become its own 'verse almost.....
i don't know if that was the intention or whether it was just meant to be a couple of stand alone stories.....but i really think that there is the opportunity here to just develop and recreate and play with lots of characters and story threads and none of it would ever get boring.....

it's just that good
