I'm with Arliss - I think it's totally unethical and unprofessional for Jeff to not include Jensen in all aspects of his medical care. They're treating him like a child, and he isn't! The major crime that the government committed, in my mind, was removing Jensen's autonomy and treating him like he was just a baby-making machine; I really hope Jeff and Jared don't keep doing the same thing!
I've been loving this story (and it's a testament to your skill that I'm getting this angry about totally imaginary characters in a totally imaginary situation), but I really hope you're not going to stick with this 'don't tell him for his own good' thing. One of the reasons I usually avoid mpreg is that I don't like it when male characters are treated with the lack of respect that is sometimes given to women in real life; just because pregnant women (and, apparently, pregnant men) may be more hormonally-emotional does not mean they are totally irrational or psychologically incompetent. They are probably feeling pretty powerless over the changes in their bodies, so it's even MORE important for them to have a sense of control over everything else.
Anyway, I'm off my soapbox too - for all I know, you're building this up to a big "Jensen takes charge" climax! And, like I said, if the story wasn't so great, I wouldn't be involved enough to care about this, so...good work?
